Have you ever found yourself manoeuvring through a maze of misplaced items, muttering, “There are too many things with nowhere to go!”?  If so, you’re not alone.  The struggle with disorganisation in classrooms and offices is a familiar tale.  In this article, we’ll provide you with some helpful tips and tricks for classroom and office organisation and storage.

Strategies for Classroom and Office Organisation

Clear Clutter – Begin by assessing the necessity of items and declutter accordingly. Dispose of outdated or unnecessary items, only keeping what is essential. (Please be mindful before disposing of items to ensure that you are not legally entitled to keep them).

Categorise – Categorise items based on their use and relevance.  Establishing categories should determine items that are used frequently.

Accessibility – Arrange frequently used items within easy reach.  Prioritising accessibility help minimise disruptions and saves time; this is especially important in a classroom where disruptions should be minimal.

Labelling – One easy, efficient way to ensure that your space stays organised is by using labels to show where items are kept, for example on the front of trays.  We have a wide range of Label sizes that can be handwritten or printed on.  Using labels to indicate where items are can have the benefit of empowering children with valuable skills, as they would be able to find and replace items they use.  In an office, labels can help to save time as the staff will know where to find items.  It would also help keep organised as it ensures that everything goes back in its place.

Height Adjustable tables for your classroom.

Below is a video explaining the features of a range of our Height Adjustable Tables.

Why do I need height adjustable tables in my classroom?

  • Ideal for Wheelchair users
  • Great for mixed age group usage
  • Ideal for interaction & group work

Wheelchair

A height adjustable table is a great option for wheelchair users as it enables them to be included in activities with the other students.  The Height Adjustable Table with Bespoke Top is a best seller for these users as the table top can be selected to match the other tables in the classroom.  This will ensure that the table will look the same as everyone else’s and the user feels included.

Mixed Age Group

Height adjustable tables are great for mixed age group sizes. All of our height adjustable tables have very simple adjusting mechanisms.  Simply raise or lower to suit the size of your students.  This allows flexibility with spaces as one classroom can be used for different year groups.  Also, a height adjustable table could save you money as buying multiple different height tables wouldn’t be necessary.

Interaction & Group Work

The themed range of tables featured in the video have many great features including their unique shapes, ideal for group work and promoting interaction between students.  For example, the Horseshoe table seats up to 8 children, with space for the teacher in the middle.

Difference between Height Adjustable and Sit/Stand Tables

Height adjustable tables are not to be confused with sit/ stand tables.  Although they can look similar, Sit/Stand Desks have different functions:

Sit / Stand tables
